San Diego Communities - Rancho Bernardo
Wednesday, 24 February 2010 11:45

City of San Diego Councilmember Carl DeMaio and local non-profit organization I Love a Clean San Diego (ILACSD) have organized a community clean up day on February 27th at Lake Hodges from 9AM – 12noon. Volunteers will meet at the Rancho Bernardo Glassman Recreation Center at 18448 West Bernardo Dr., San Diego 92128 to remove litter and debris from the lake, surrounding trail system, and neighborhoods nearby. Members of the community are encouraged to volunteer.

Volunteers will not only remove litter and debris that contaminates the community at this popular recreational spot, but they will also get a chance to explore and enjoy it. Lake Hodges has many scenic trail systems overlooking the water, and volunteers will be focusing on the area near the recently opened pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the lake.
