The Poway Unified School District superintendent is proposing to cut teacher and other employee salaries by 7.5 percent and reduce the number of school days by five, according to the Union-Tribune. Superintendent Don Phillips said the cuts are needed because the district is facing a $24 million budget deficit for the next school year. |
